Where Can We Go Rock Hunting?
James Monaco
Fee Mining and Rockhounding Adventures
I started out with a simple problem, how to find places where we could go mining when we were traveling around?
“There must be a guidebook for this,” said my wife. But there wasn’t. So she started a database for our personal use. The database got bigger and bigger until it seemed to be a book. We sent a proposal into Gem Guides Book Company, a publisher known for guide books for rockhounds. They liked it. Early editions were combined but as the locations grew to include crystals, fossils, gold, treasures, beaches, museums, caves and other points of interest, the book was broken into two. So here they are the two books my wife and I wrote by accident. Perhaps you know and love a rockhound who would like a few new places to hunt.
